Civil services offer excellent opportunities for serving the society
and undertaking activities for social good. For students with engineering
background, civil services is a lucrative and admirable career option.
Engineering graduates getting in to services such as IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, etc. is
very common and their services to the society are exemplary. In fact, a good
number of engineering students get through the civil services examinations
opting for non-engineering subjects. Interest of engineering students in
non-engineering subjects is evidenced even in selection of elective/optional
courses.
With a view to serve the diverse career aspirations of students, KL
has established KL IAS Academy exclusively for K L Deemed to be University students. The Academy
will collaborate with the reputed Rao’s Study Circle, New Delhi.
B.Tech. students of K L Deemed to be University can avail this opportunity from second semester
onwards (First year). Similarly, students of BBA, B.Com (Hons.), BHM and
Integrated BBA-MBA can avail this opportunity from second semester onwards
(First year). The Academy is also open for K L Deemed to be University students of other programs such
as MBA, MBA in Technology Management, MCA, M.Tech. etc. from their First
Semester onwards (First year).
