The K L Deemed to be University Academic Staff College has been organizing a number of programs in inter disciplinary refresher courses, orientation courses, panel discussions, seminars, workshops, guest lectures, etc. on a regular basis. The themes selected for the programs are socially relevant, professionally useful and academically important, which are primarily aimed at upgrading the existing knowledge structure of the faculty to enable them to work together for application of new knowledge for industrial and social development and other allied aspects.
The focus is to equip teachers with advanced knowledge and motivate them to accept challenges of quality teaching and research, especially in terms of course content design and development of curriculum focused on innovations and creativity, which will eventually lead to:
(a) The development of faculty
(b) Reforms in assessment and certification methods
(c) Knowledge up-gradation for effective teaching and research
(d) Interaction for some specialized emerging fields of advanced and interdisciplinary nature
