The Department of Fine Arts hosted a captivating Concept Photography event on December 7, 2023, under the aegis of the Women's Forum. The event aimed to raise awareness and commemorate the Elimination of all forms of Violence against Women, employing the powerful medium of photography.

The coordination among the organizers was exemplary, manifesting in the seamless execution of the event. Rhythm Jain's conceptualization provided a solid foundation, while Rahul Krishna's direction steered the visual narrative towards a compelling direction. Gowtham Immadi's adeptness in photography captured the essence of the theme with finesse, aided by Deepika Kurrapati's expertise in makeup, which accentuated the emotions and stories portrayed by the models.

The models, Navya, Pranathi, Janaki, Manaswini, and Rhythm, played pivotal roles in bringing the envisioned concepts to life. Their emotive portrayals added depth and authenticity to the visual representations, conveying the gravity of the issue and the strength inherent in overcoming adversities.

The Department of Fine Arts, in collaboration with the School of Architecture, hosted an exhilarating Model Photography Event on October 14, 2023, to commemorate National Students Day and celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. The event took place at Photography Studio in the Department of Fine Arts and it was a jubilant fusion of artistic expression and creative ingenuity.

National Students Day is a momentous occasion in India, as it marks the birth anniversary of the eminent scientist and former President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. This event served as a tribute to his unwavering commitment to education and the pursuit of knowledge.

A Disney-Themed Extravaganza

One of the highlights of this event was the participation of students from the School of Architecture, who added a whimsical touch to the celebration by dressing up as various beloved Disney characters. The fusion of fine arts and architecture made this event truly remarkable. The students from the School of Architecture showcased their artistic talents through meticulously crafted costumes, transforming into characters like Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, Elsa, Aladdin, and many more.

The juxtaposition of the real and the fictional in these photographs was truly captivating. The students of visual communication played a significant role in making the event even more extraordinary. They expertly inserted real-time Disney character elements into the photographs, turning these students into the animated heroes and heroines they represented.

The Model Photography Event celebrating National Students Day, in honor of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's birth anniversary, was a resounding success. It beautifully merged the worlds of fine arts, architecture, and visual communication to create a unique and enchanting experience for all in attendance.
