The Signal Processing Research Group (SPRG), ECE Department. K L University has conducted a Two day International Conference on Signal Processing and Communication Engineering Systems (SPACES-2015), on 2nd and 3rd of January 2015.
Inaugural Session:
The Session started with a welcome address and then continued by the Key Note Speech of Prof G S N Raju, Hon. Vice Chancellor, Andhra University, INDIA and Dr. A.Mukopadhyay on Recent Trends in VLSI Design.

The session started with the introduction and the plenary talk by Dr. James M. Conrad on Embedded systems engineering in Industry and Academia. That was followed by another plenary talk by Dr. V Seshagiri Rao on First interplanetary mission of ISRO (MARS Orbiter Mission). The session was continued with some Paper Presentations on the topics related to Micro Electronics and Circuit Systems.
Day-2:
With the plenary talk by Dr. James M. Conrad on Uses of Image Processing in autonomous Quad rotor Robotic Vehicle, the session started. It was continued with the Presentations of various Scholars related to VLSI and Embedded Systems. After a short tea break with the plenary talk of Dr. Anil Kumar Vuppala on the topic Vowel Onset point detection for speech recognition in Mobile Environment. That was continued by some Paper presentations related to the topics Robotics and Mechatronics. Speech and Signal processing. The session started again after the lunch with the plenary talk by Dr. Rama Chandra Kuloor on Signal processing for RADAR Application which was continued by some paper presentations on Mobile Communications and Applications.

The session started with the introduction and the plenary talk by Dr. Navarun Gupta on 3D sound that mimics real life sounds using Head related Transfer Functions (HRTFs). The session was continued with some Paper Presentations on the topics related to VLSI and Embedded Systems.

With the plenary talk by Dr. Narasimhasarma N V S on Terahertz Technology. The session started. It was continued with the Presentations of various Scholars related to RF. Antenna and Microwaves. After a short tea break with the plenary talk of Dr. Y.V.Ravi Prasad on the topic Role of medicine in engineering and in Hospital Industry. That was continued by some Paper presentations related to the Wireless sensor Networks and Mobile Computing. The session started again after the lunch with the plenary talk by Dr. Ravibabu M on the topic Recent Advances in no stationary thermal wave imaging for NDT of Solids which was continued by some paper presentations on Biomedical Signal and Image Processing.

With the Presentations of various Scholars related to RR Antenna and Microwaves, the session started. After a short tea break some Paper presentations were given on the topics related to the Mobile communications and Applications. The session started again after the lunch with the paper presentations on Speech and Signal Processing.

That was followed by another plenary talk by Dr. Shiv Kumar on DSP for Fibre optic Communication. The session was continued with some Paper Presentations on the topics related to Artificial intelligence and pattern Recognition.
With the plenary talk by Dr. K S Raju on Smart Cities — Issues and application related to the signal processing, the session started. It was continued with the Presentations of various Scholars related to Energy Studies and Conventional Resources, Video and Digital Image Processing. That was continued by some Paper presentations related to the Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition. The session started again after the lunch with the plenary talk by Dr. C S Sastry on the topic Dictionaries for sparse representation: Theory and biomedical applications which was continued by some paper presentations on RR Antennas and Microwave.

Day-1:
The session started with the introduction and the plenary talk by Dr. Srinivas Pentyala on Nanotechnology for Biomedical Engineering. That was followed by another plenary talk by Dr. Shaik Rafi Ahamed on IEEE 802.15.6 standard based wireless Body area Networks. The session was continued with some Paper Presentations on the topics related to Biomedical Signal and Image Processing.
Dav-2:
With the plenary talk by Dr. Rama Dantu on Vehicles in cloud for smart cities, the session started. It was continued with the Presentations of various Scholars related to Mobile Communications and Applications. After a short tea break with the plenary talk of Dr. M.Madhavi Latha on the topic Low power VLSI. That was continued by some Paper presentations related to the Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition.
There are a total of 105 papers presented out of 110 presentations which were selected There are about 500 participants turned in to attend the conference without Paper.
Valedictory Function:
There is a vote of Thanks given and thanked all the participants. The faculty who helped for the smooth run of the conference and the organizers who helped and made the conference successful. Mementoes were given the certificates were distributed.
