Inauguration of Wipro Mission 10X Technology Learning Center


The inauguration of Wipro Mission 10X Technology Learning center in K L University was held at MTLC center in CSE block 2nd floor, KLU Campus on 05-05-2014. Dr,LSS Reddy, Vice-Chancellor, K L University presided over the function and delivered presidential address. Mr. P.B.KOTUR General Manager & Head, Mission 10X, in his keynote address, said that he felt very happy about the cleanliness and the green campus of K L University. He added that the center is a world class facility, and all should utilize to the best of their ability so that it will benefit their personal life, the society, the nation and the world. KLU management acts as a bridge between the students and innovations. The small step taken by every learner will make a huge difference in the future. He also added that there are skills that are trainable and non-trainable. Trainable skills are achieved with a little effort or sometimes by putting more efforts. But the non-trainable skills are to be imbibed over a period of time. Students should focus on quality, cost, and services on par with international standards. Mr.P.Satyanarayana In-charge, MTLC proposed a vote of thanks. Prof. N.B.V.Prasad, Director, IRP of K L University, and mentors Dr.Y.Prasanth, Sri S.Sridhar Babu and Sri K.Ravi kumar were also present.

Mission 10x - Three Day Training Program The 3-Day training program was falgged off on 25-7-14 and went on upto 27-7-14. The training is for identified faculty from various departments i.e CSE, ECE, EEE and ECM. On day 1 the training started with welcome note by Mr.P.Satayanarayana and introduction to Mission 10x by Dr.Y.Prasanth. In the morning session Introduction to embedded systems, UTLP tutorials and Eclipse IDE was delivered by Sri S.Sridhar babu and K.Ravi kumar and 5 batches(teams) were formed. In the afternoon session a hands-on session was arranged for the faculty where all the teams have implemented various interface modules based on UTLP. Finally, the session was closed (5PM) asking all the teams to come up with their own mini project ideas for the next day.

On the second day, the forenoon session started at 9AM with a quiz on Linux basics and embedded systems. The teams have come up with 15 different mini projects. Later, the mentors collected all the projects from 5 teams and asked each team to select a mini project of their interest. Then the teams completed their mini projects by 4PM and later a peer validation session was conducted from 4PM – 5PM by mentors; where all the 4 teams will go to a particular team to identify bugs and validate the project. Each team has to undergo this process by all the other 4 teams. Finally, the session was closed (5PM) by asking the entire faculty to identify a major project so as to implement the project on the following day.

On the 3rd and final day, the morning session started at 9AM. The mentors asked the entire faculty members to do the identified project also told them to identify a project manager (PM) among them. Then the mentors gave instructions regarding the project like division of the whole project into modules, assignment of modules to teams etc, to the PM. The project was successfully completed by the whole team under the control of PM. Finally, the whole team showed the execution of the project to the mentors. The session was closed with a valedictory note at 5PM.
