Program Educational Objectives


  • To apply mathematics, science based foundations to develop different unit processes and unit operation technologies of Petroleum Engineering for solving complex industrial problems.

  • To Specify, analyze, design and implement various petroleum refinery upstream and downstream processes equipment designs and also extensive study and usage of simulation tools

  • Plan, including methods design, process plan, and process automation, process flow diagrams design, process equipment design and drawings.

  • Work in a team using common tools and environments to achieve project objectives.

  • Recognize their professional and personal responsibility to the community.

  • Demonstrate understanding of the societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to engineering practice.

  • Understand and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of engineering practice.

  • Understand the impact of engineering solutions in a societal context and demonstrate knowledge of and need for sustainable development.

  • Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of management and business practices, such as risk and change management, and understand their limitations
