• 'Guest Lecture' is an activity organized by Dept. of E.C.E of K L University on 31-08-2015 from 11.40 A.M to 2:30 P.M.The Guest Lecture was given by Mrs. K. Brahmarambica Scientist 'E' from DLRL Hyderabad and Mr. Rama Krishna Scientist 'D' from DLRL Hyderabad. The topic of the Guest Lecture is "Electronic Warfare antennas and its measurements". In order to contribute to the Department mission, Guest Lecture is organized in our campus premises to bring awareness among the III year E.C.E students of K L University regarding the Problems and challenges in Warfare antennas.

SESSION ACTIVITIES OF THE EVENT:

1. E.C.E Department had made the necessary arrangements for the Guest Lecture activity in the campus premises before the scheduled time of the event. The student team for the event consisted of 5 members. The faculty Incharge(s) explained the student team regarding the outline of the event conduction. The students were under their supervision throughout the event. The faculty In-charge(s) had started the event by inviting the guest of honors Mrs.K.Brahmarambica and Mr.Rama Krishna on to the dais to start the lecture. In the lecture he has elaborately explained about Electronic warfare is one of the least known or understood areas of military combat. Far older than most, even in the military, realize, far more widespread and complex than most civilians imagine, it has become one of the most important offensive and defensive capabilities of any nation- or non-state organization, from drug cartels to terrorist groups.

2. Students of 3rd year E.C.E had actively participated in this session. More than 500 students had taken active participation in the event. Faculty from the E.C.E department, K L University had interacted with the speaker. Dr.MSG Prasad, I/C HOD(Dept.of ECE) of K L University had attended the event and delivered his valuable message on the necessity to conduct the Guest Lecture. The Speaker was honored by Dr.MSG Prasad with a memento. Students showed their interest in understanding the challenges to apply knowledge in Warfare antennas in the defense field.

Professional activities:

• Paper presentation competition organized by Dept. of E.C.E of K L University on 27-08-2015 from 2PM to 5:00P.M. 45 teams from II ,III and IV year ECE students have participated and this event has been conducted simultaneously in 3 class rooms.. In order to contribute to the Department mission, Paper presentation is organized in our campus premises to encourage Technical activity among E.C.E students of K L University. Each team consists of 2 members. Dr. K. S. N. Murthy Coordinator IETE Student Forum has explained the student teams regarding the instructions .Dr.K.S.Ramesh , Dr. K. S. N. Murthy and Mrs. B.Madhavi were acted as Judges. Dr.Habibullah Khan Dean Student affairs, Dr A.S.C.S. Sastry, HOD ECE Dept. and Dr.M.Siva Ganga Prasad, Alternate HOD have extended their cooperation in making this event a grand success. 3 Teams have Won I, II and III cash prizes respectively and one consolation prize is also given.

Faculty Achievements:

• Mr B T P Madhav , Research scholar, K L University with register no 11304001, under the guidance of Dr Habibullakhan, Professor, KLUniversity, with his thesis entitled " Substrate Permitivity Effects on the performance of compact and wideband Microstrip Antennas", has been awarded Ph.D. Degree on 18-08-2015.
