Revised program structure for three years B.Com (Honors) program (From 2015 – 16 Academic year onwards).

Today’s corporate culture needs human resource from any field to practically deal with the industry practices. The B.Com (Hons) in accounting and finance is designed with the aim and objective to be different than the commerce courses Hons courses of other Universities. As a result of experiment with 2011-15 batch by providing four months industrial training made them more discipline, willingness to accept the corporate culture, inclination towards learning and difficulty of survival without hard work. The students expressed highest level of satisfaction and benefit of industrial training. After interacting with the section of academicians and corporate giants the department re-discussed the issue with Dean-academics and he expressed satisfaction and encouraged the department to go ahead with industrial training as the course of 6th semester to enhance profile of the department as well University. Taking the guidance from the Dean Academics we would like to incorporate Industrial training as a part of course curriculum. Hence, the three years B.Com (Honors) program is redesigned to give more emphasis on Communications, Accounting, Finance, Insurance, Banking, Taxation and Industrial training. Total credits 111+12(SIP) + 18 (Industrial training) = 141 credits.
