Welcome to KLU COLLEGE OF LAW

KLEF College of Law was established in the Academic Year 2015-16 with the prior approval of the Bar Council of India (BCI). The College of Law at KL University is training students for the Five Year Integrated BBA. LL.B. program.as well as 3 Year LL.B. program and L.L.M in four specialization fields. We also offer research activity with PhD both full time and part time.

The College of Law runs on the lines of National Law Schools in India. The former Vice Chancellor of National Law School of India University, Bangalore Prof. R. Venkata Rao and the former Central Information Commissioner and former Professor of Law at NALSAR, Hyderabad, Prof. Madabhushi Sridhar, Justice K.G.Shankar, (retired Judge of AP High Court) are part of the External Experts on the Board of Studies in Law, and have helped finalize the program structure and detailed syllabus.

With a strong team of faculties, a comprehensive study environment at College of Law is assured. We are well equipped with extensive infrastructure for both online and offline conducting of class. Since the need of the hour is to provide the new gen with advanced methods of legal study, we at College of Law, K L University are on it. We have 5 Year as well as 3 Year law courses along with Masters in Law in four fields of specialization. Furthermore, the delivery of non law subjects is handled by subject experts. KLU has a highly reputed Management faculty who are training the students in the courses on Business Administration. OUR ACADEMIC CURRICULUM IS A PERFECT BLEND OF THEORY AND PRACTICAL

For stimulating and experiential learning of the students, creditedMoot Court Training courses with intensified training of 25 sessions per semester in the big technology enabled Moot Court Hall. Monitored by dedicated faculty members with Industry experience. The students are required to prepare written memorials and advance arguments before a panel of Judges. Each student is required to prepare for a minimum of six cases for a semester.

Moot Court

In order to facilitate the students to learn and develop legal advocacy skills, the College of Law aims at providing the students with best possible resources. We strongly believe that the student’s performance in terms of learning and executing the professional skills, will enhance if they are given suitable infrastructural facilities.

The Moot Court Room at College of Law is in similar stature to that of an actual court room and creates an ambience of practical legal learning. The room gives a true experience of a court room with enhanced aura; it has court appearance and has a capacity to accommodate over 150 students in a single session. In addition to this, elevated seating for the judges alongside aptly positioned witness-box. The room is available for general classroom practice of the students as well as conducting Moot Court Competitions at national level.

Library

College of Law caters to the needs of the students and teachers with its huge and updated volume of books offline and online. The library has an extensive and quality collection of over 3000 books and volumes of journals magazines and newspapers. Remote access to online database like Manupatra, Lexis nexus, ebscohost, etc is available at the library. We can comfortably accommodate the students on rolling basis.

Classrooms

Comfortable classrooms with adequate seating capacity are available at College of Law. The classrooms are well equipped for digital method of teaching. Liquid crystals display digital smart boards, speakers are pre-installed to give best mode of teaching.

FREE LEGAL AID SERVICE- The college of law believes in giving back to the society, hence students and the faculty members conduct free legal aid in and around the university in an offline mode. And with best utilization on online era the opportunity is extended all around the nation. The rendering of service does not only restrict to spreading legal awareness but also providing legal help to deserving victims. We stand against the unjust and we teach out students the same. Access to justice is immensely important as availability of justice and mere attainment of legal knowledge is not sufficient; hence we at KLEF College of Law try our best to put it to instant use through our Legal Aid Committee. The committee consists of both students and guided by faculty members. The committee aims at imparting awareness regarding basic rights required to be known to the needy people.

PLACEMENTS- KLEF has a motto to make all the eligible qualified and interested students employed. KLEF had introduced the framework, utilized very much experienced staff, planned and conveyed programs that help improving and enhancing the communication and soft skills which are required for making the students employable. Domain specific CRT training will also be given to those who opt for it. There is an exemplary framework in place that considers all the challenges that make a student employable. Our comprehensive curriculum is structured to train our students in many disciplines to acquire talent and their career choices also reflect the same.

Internships and Projects

Internships and projects are institutionalized as very significant mechanisms that offer a forum for real-life projects to be handled by students. We provide students with career advice on career discovery, personal development, internship and job search training and career planning requirements for post-graduation. In the chosen areas of interest, KL College of Law offers hands-on training and allows students to apply ideas and principles learned in real life scenarios in the classroom.

Students who have completed the integrated 5-year BBA-LLB & 3-Year LLB programs successfully would have job prospects in legal practice, Legal Process Outsourcing companies, international business contracts, information technology, banking & insurance. KL College of Law puts great emphasis on the successful completion of the Law Programs for student placements and offers placement assistance.

Mission

Our primary mission is to impart and disseminate knowledge of law and legal processes. Such impartation is aimed to be innovative and practical. Law is an instrument of social engineering aimed at social change and social justice. It requires proper understanding of various disciplines across the streams and social sciences subjects like economics and sociology are also integrated into the program along with communication skills and personality development. Thus, with a comprehensive course structure we aim to develop students into scholars of law with a sense of social responsibility to serve the community.
