Salient Features of Academic Structure of MBA Program

The MBA program offered by KLEF comparable to the best B-schools in the country includes state-of –the art industry driven curriculum and delivery methodologies. MBA program provides both a portfolio of strong functional skills and the ability to apply, adapt and integrate those skills in different management settings. It involves a student-centric learning approach. This programme is uniquely comprehensive and helps students in developing an integrated view of Management.

  1. The Programme consists of 4 Semesters spread over a period of two years embodying:
    1. Core courses
    2. Specialized courses
    3. Sectoral specialization courses
    4. Industrial Internship & Management Thesis
  2. The specialization streams provide a broad foundation of skills and knowledge in diverse functional areas. The students are encouraged to choose eight elective courses from five streams of specialization
    • Marketing
    • Finance
    • Human Resources Management
    • Foreign trade
    • Information technology & Systems
  3. In addition to the functional areas, the students also specialize in certain sectors. Sectoral specializations that are offered include:
    • Retail Management
    • Banking Services Management
  4. Summer Internship Programme is an attempt to bridge the gap between the academic institutions and corporate world. The duration of SIP is 9 weeks during the intervening period between the close of semester II and the commencement of Semester III.
  5. Students have to prepare and present Management thesis, a comprehensive research study/ project under the guidance of faculty
  6. Students are encouraged to pursue live projects and operational workouts to enhance their learning by applying theoretical concepts to industry situations
