Teaching Workshop

At KL University, Teachers training programme is a continuous process. In-house training programmes are conducted by using the expertise available in the university as well as experts from outside. Irrespective of the designation, qualification and experience all faculty members of the University will undergo these training programmes. Realizing the fact that language plays a very important role in teaching and communication, language workshops are also conducted for the members of the faculty.

In teaching workshops, a series of lectures on different topics related to teaching such as Time Management, Personal Effectiveness, Humor in Teaching, Learning skills and Effective Teaching, Soft Skills in Teaching etc will be organized by soft skill trainers in the university.

Later all the participants will be divided into different groups. Maximum number of faculty members in each group will be between 12-15. Each group is headed by two senior professors and a professor from soft skills background.

All the participants will be asked to make a presentation on the black board and using power point presentation separately. Based on the presentation, corrective measures are suggested by the experts. Based on the suggestions given, participants will be asked to make the 2nd presentation on black board and using power point presentation.

Different workshops conducted since September 2009 is listed below.

  1. First Teaching Workshop was organized between 10th to 12th September and 16th to18th September 2009.
  2. Second Teaching Workshop was organized between 26 to 28 October 2009 for Professors of the University. Dr Uma Garimella, Director, Teachers Academy, Hyderabad conducted the training programme.
  3. Mission 10X (part I) by M/s Wipro Technologies held from 26th Oct to 30th Oct 2009 .
  4. First Language Workshop for faculty members was organized between 03rdand 09th November 2009.
  5. Second Language Workshop for faculty members was organized 30th November to 04th December 2009.
  6. A seminar on Bloom’s Taxonomy was organized for all the members of the faculty of the University on 10th November 2009.
  7. Mission 10X (part II, Advanced programme) by M/s Wipro Technologies held from 5th April to 6th April 2010.
  8. A seminar on “Effective power point presentation – The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” was organized on 8th April 2010.
  9. A seminar on “Blooms Taxonomy” was organized on 10th April 2010 for course coordinators of KL University.
  10. Teaching workshop was organized between 21st April to 27th April 2010.
  11. Third language Workshop was organized between 10th May 2010 to 12th May 2010
  12. Workshops & Training Programs conducted as In-house Training at KL University from August, 2009 to July 2012
  13. In house Faculty Develpoment Programs, Teaching Workshops and Language Workshops conducted after May, 2010
