A National Workshop on Current Trends and Challenges in Petroleum Exploration and Production


A National Workshop on “Current Trends and Challenges in Petroleum Exploration and Production” was organised by the Department of Petroleum Engineering on 30th and 31st March, 2017. Eminent people from the field were invited as keynote speakers. They include Professor Jitendra Prasad, Retd. Group General Manager, ONGC who spoke on Trends and Challenges in Exploration and Production; Dr. Kalachand Sain, Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR-NGRI who spoke on Recent Status of Exploration on Unconventional Energy Resources in India, the Exploration and Production Methods and Challenges, and Mr. Ravi Kumar, Dy. Controller of Explosives, Ministry of Commerce & Industries who spoke on Alternate Energy Sources and Technologies.
