When you strike the correct chord among the needy masses and make a footprint of Reform in their lives, you find the real meaning of Education. With this urge, of creating an impact on the society, began the onset of CEA (Centre for Extension Activities), an initiative by the students of K L University. The CEA with the sane approval from the coordinator of Welfare & Wellness Cell (WWC) - Dr.K.Manikyeswara Rao and the combined effort of Aastha club (KLUSO), stimulated this phenomenon through a medical camp conducted in the village of Nageshwarapuram Thanda, situated 20 km from Pidiguralla in Guntur District, on the map.

As the first step, a survey was conducted among the people of the village to arrive at a clear picture of various ailments bothering them. A thorough statistical report was prepared to substantiate for the further analysis. The two-day event on 3rd February and 6th February, comprised the survey and camp headed by a competent Doctor to cater to the health-needs of the villagers, 250 in number, who turned out with tremendous enthuse and hope for change and betterment.

The volunteers experienced an inexplicable complacence as they were able to achieve the mind shift in the villagers from meeru em chestaru? to malli epudu vastharu? The students emphasized the aspects of the role of education and hygiene through a skit, to spread awareness among the masses about the foreseen consequences and the scope for improvement in the same.

As KiranBirSethi says, Change is contagious, this first effort to rise the hope factor among the villagers is expected to trigger a persistent progressive and constructive set of efforts for the welfare and development of the larger community in the long-run.

Aastha club has conducted selections for organisers and they have met for about 5 times to discuss their plan of action for every event they conducted.

Another feather in the cap of Aastha is the Vastradaan which aimed at helping the poor and needy with clothes collected from the entire student potential of KLU.
