Mr.P Satyanarayana was working as Divisional Engineer at Dr.NTTPS a government sector located at Vijayawada.He has a vast industrial experience in power sector.He recently visited Germany to representing AP GENCO in Technology transfer program.

He visited the department on 23rd January 2012 and delivered a Guest Lecture on “INDIAN POWER SCENARIO AND MANAGEMENT OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF POWER PLANTS” to the 2nd B.Tech students.
During his Lecture he explained the following:

  • Reasons for power lapses
  • Working of thermal power plants
  • How to improve efficiency of each unit in plant
  • What are the latest technologies adopted
  • Technologies used in Germany
  • Optimization processes
  • Upgradations in Dr. NTTR Power Station

Dr. M Venu Gopala Rao, Professor & Head of the Department given introductory speech about the guest. After completion of Lecture many students interacted with Mr. P Satyanarayana and clarified their doubts. At the end of the session Dr. M Venu Gopala Rao, Head of Department and Dr. G R K Murthy, Professor of Department has felicitated the Guest behalf of the students.

Prof. P R V L Narasimham currently working as a Professor and Head of EEE Department in Gudlavalleru Engineering College, Gudlavalleru. He has lot of experience in teaching and involved in various development in Education. He has done lot of emphasis on Electrical machines and their design.

He visited the department on 27th January 2012 and delivered a Lecture on “Clever Energy Converters- Electric Motors” to 3rd B.Tech students. During his lecture he covered the following topics:

  • Basic working principle of a machine
  • Why the motors are called Energy converters?
  • Design constraints
  • Force equation (F=BiL)
  • How to increase B?
  • Research topics in the area of Machines/Drives

Mrs. S V N L Lalitha, Assoc. Professor of the Department given introductory speech about Prof. P V R L Narasimham. After completion of Lecture many students posed questions and clarified their doubts design aspects. At the end of the session Dr. M Venugopala Rao, Head of Department and Dr. B Subramanyam, Professor of Department has felicitated the Guest behalf of the students.
