computer Networks & Security Research Group is organizing a Guest Lecture on Mobile Applications/Wireless Sensor Networks by Dr. Siba Kumar Udgata, Professor, School of Computer & Information Sciences, University of Hyderabad & Director, Centre for Modelling Simulation and Design (CMSD), Hyderabad on 20th Feb 2015

Computer Networks & Security Research Group, Dept of CSE, KL University organised a guest lecture by Dr. Siba Kumar Udgata (Professor, School of Computer & Information Sciences, University of Hyderabad Director, Centre for Modelling Simulation and Design (CMSD), Hyderabad) on 20/2/15 on the topics of Mobile Application Development based on Crowd Sourcing Model & Wireless Sensor Networks for Mobile Health Care which was convened by Dr. Shaik Shakeel Ahamad Head Computer Networks & Security Research Group. Guest lecture was inaugurated by the Heads of the CSE Dept Dr. K. Thirupathi Rao & Dr. V. Krishna Reddy. Guest lecture was organized for all the students of CSE & Faculty.

Topics covered in the lecture are Mobile Application Development based on Crowd Sourcing Model & Wireless Sensor Networks for Mobile Health Care

Gist of the Guest Lecture:

Mobile Application Development based on Crowd Sourcing Model:

Crowd sourcing refers to a distributed problem-solving model in which a crowd of undefined size is engaged in the task of solving a complex problem through an open call. This novel problem-solving model found its way into numerous applications on the web for voting, fund-raising, micro-works and wisdom-of-the-crowd scenarios using mobile devices.

Wireless Sensor Network based health care system:

In this lecture he covered two important aspects of health care using Wireless Sensor Networks (1) monitoring of water quality to ensure safe drinking water and (2) monitoring of critical human health parameters, through a wireless sensor network zone.
