The faculty is a perfect blend of Academicians and Industry professionals having different specializations in Computer Science and Engineering to impart their expertise through diversified courses such as B.Tech and BCA programs. The department offers Post graduate programs in M.Tech with specialization in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Networks and security, Cloud Computing, Computational Intelligence and Cyber Security & Digital Forensics . The department offers Doctoral program (Ph.D) in all major areas of computer science and Engineering.

Our Professors have been recognized as Research supervisors by various Universities in India. Active research is going on in the fields of Data Mining and Networking. The focus areas of the Department for R&D activities identified are Software Engineering, Data Mining, Networking and Client Server Technology, Cryptography & Network Security, High Performance Computing and Embedded systems. An R&D Center has been established in the department to take up Research projects and also to cater to the needs of faculty, who are doing their Research work. Students are also involved in the research activities with the faculty. In addition, faculty in the department is executing the R&D Projects funded by the external agencies, as project works for final year students. Faculty of the department has published more than 250 papers during the past few years in different International/National journals and conferences.
The faculties have published 7 Textbooks for BCA program of Acharaya Nagarjuna University, Guntur. The department has organized 2 National Level Workshops and 3 National student level paper presentation contests and 1 International Conference.
A good number of faculty are attending the conferences/workshops etc., to enhance their quality in academics and to get themselves acquainted with latest technological trends. The faculty is also deputed to Industrial training during semester break of the academic year. Faculty members are invited to deliver extension lectures by the different industries as per their requirements.
MOU’s are signed with Industries in Hyderabad, Chennai and an academic tie-up with PGRR Centre for Distance Education (PGRRCDE), Osmania University, Hyderabad and University of Cincinnati, USA etc., to establish the Industry-Institution interaction for arranging Industrial visits, to take up live projects and to offer training to the faculty and staff and for faculty and student exchange programmes.
At the beginning of each academic year Teacher Training Program is being organized to train the newly recruited faculty with less than 5 years of experience. During the program, Senior Professors of the college will deliver Model Lectures, while emphasis on techniques to deliver lecture effectively. In addition, Technical Teacher Training Institute (TTTI), Chennai has conducted a series of lectures as part of training program to the faculty members.
A major syllabus revision will take place periodically and emphasizing on contemporary technologies and job oriented courses. Senior faculties from all specializations are involved in framing and finalizing the syllabus.
Lesson plans are made available in the College Web before the beginning of each semester for all courses. Course files and lab handouts are given to the students to get the overall idea about the course they are going to study. Electronic teaching facility such as power point presentation is being extensively used in addition to Lecture method. An exclusive counseling class is included in the Time-table in which each faculty is allotted with 20 students. Students are counseled in these classes and problems pertaining to their academic/personal and solutions are provided.
Students are actively participating in the Co and extracurricular activities organized on a regular basis by the departmental students association. They are encouraged to deliver seminars in regular classes and also to present papers. They are involved in the National level students paper contest being conducted by the department every year.
For the last few academic years 100% placement has been achieved for the students and the target is well in progress during present academic year also.
Students are being trained by conducting extra classes to refresh their knowledge and also required computer software as per the requirements of the companies visiting the campus for selections.
Developmental Plans are set to accomplish defined long range and short range goals of the department, to develop the laboratories by adding latest equipment on servers side and client side and further to develop centres of Excellency in the focus areas.
Computer Center –Infrastructure
The department Computer center is equipped with Xeon Servers, 500 Desktops connected through Ethernet. Peripherals like Printers including Laser Printer, Scanner, DVD Writer, and Web Cameras are available. Internet connectivity is available with a high processing speed. The Department continuously upgrades all laboratories with the state-of-art equipment & Software.
